Created by Denise Davis in 2005, The Varsity School has been the foundation of Planet Fastpitch’s elite training and culture for nearly two decades. This fall, the program enters a new era—reimagined with advanced technology, cutting-edge performance systems, and the same powerful culture that has produced hundreds of collegiate athletes.
Directed by Denise, The Varsity School is designed for select pitchers, hitters, and catchers who are fully committed to personal growth, deep learning, and competitive development. Applicants are hand-selected for their work ethic, curiosity, focus, and leadership potential—on and off the field.

In the event of weather disruptions, illness, or large-scale emergencies, Varsity programming will seamlessly transition into a virtual experience that includes presentations, group collaboration, skill analysis, and recruiting education. 🧠 Group Assignment Process
Strategic Grouping for Maximum Growth
Denise Davis personally assigns groups based on:

Skill level and experience

Mechanics and body awareness

Pitch menu and reaction time

Team chemistry and age
Local athletes are asked to attend Monday/Tuesday sessions to prioritize Sunday access for long-distance commuters.
📝 Admissions Process
Rolling Admissions – Apply Early

Applications open immediately and continue until full.
-
Returning Varsity athletes do not need to reapply.

Athletes are selected by Denise Davis for alignment with the Varsity culture.
✅ Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for enrollment:

Completion of prior Varsity or PFP training program
-
Active VIP GOLD Membership
-
All account balances paid in full
📲 Participation Requirements
Varsity athletes are expected to:
-
Have access to an iPad, iPhone, or iPod for training tools
-
Pitchers must have a designated catcher or catching parent
-
Maintain academic eligibility
-
Demonstrate strong, consistent attendance
📌 Varsity School Policy & Expectations
Varsity status is renewed annually through high school graduation.
To maintain good standing, all athletes must:
-
Be enrolled in auto-pay through your PFP eSoft account (unless tuition is paid in full).
-
Attend all classes—or observe if injured—to continue learning and engagement.
-
Follow all program expectations: commitment, effort, cooperation, assignments, and conduct.
Medical Leave Policy:
-
With proper documentation, long-term injuries may result in a medical leave of absence.
-
Tuition and lessons will be pro-rated, and waitlisted athletes may fill the spot.
-
Injured athletes may rejoin when healed and if a spot becomes available.
Conduct Policy:
After two warnings and a formal meeting, any athlete not upholding the program’s academic, behavioral, or training standards will be dismissed—and responsible for the remaining tuition balance.
🌧️ Weather & Absences

One weather-related make-up class is scheduled (TBD).
-
No make-ups for illness, vacation, or scheduling conflicts.
-
Private lessons are not transferable for missed group sessions.
🔗 Varsity Network & Self-Scheduling
PFP will provide a contact list (opt-in only) of all Varsity athletes. If you must miss your scheduled class, it is your responsibility to arrange a switch with another athlete.
Next, it is required that a lesson package be purchased to be enrolled in Varsity. Lessons are essential for tweaking and reinforcing important class concepts. Please select from a choice of a 6, 12 or 24 lesson pack with either a Veteran or a Master Level Instructor.
