We understand the needs and dreams of student-athletes.

Members of the Class of 2011 are encouraged to tape college videos as soon as possible.  This is often a very time-consuming process.  The taping and the editing for each player take approximately eight hours of time at Planet Fastpitch.  We want to be sure that you put your best foot forward for the coaches to review.  For players who want to pursue a playing career in college, it is imperative that your video gets to the colleges prior to the start of travel ball season.  This will give you the best edge as the video acts as a commercial to attract interest to you and to ultimately appeal to the coach enough that she or he will watch you play in a game.

THIS IS WHAT YOU RECEIVE: 

Planet Fastpitch will tape and edit your video.  During taping, you will have hands-on advice from softball professionals on the physical skills that will make you more marketable in the eyes of college coaches.  After completion of taping, we will choose the highlights and edit them in-house with our video equipment. 

This base price of $450 includes the taping sessions, up to three hours of video editing and 1 DVD of the final copy. 

Additional services are also available at $70 per hour.  Those services include:

• Additional video taping
• Additional editing
• Resume writing
• Calls and other contacts with coaches

Additional copies of DVD’s may be purchased.  You have permission to duplicate your videos on your own or PFP can do it for you.

IMPORTANT Video Taping Day Requirements: 

1. Players are required to bring a helper with them on video day.  This helper may be required to warm you up and catch for you.
    

2. Players must also submit 4 songs burned to a CD to PFP.  Be sure to write your name clearly on the CD.  These songs should be clean, have a good message and relatively quick tempo.  Keep in mind that you want the coaches to be happy.  PFP may choose several clips of your submitted songs to include in the video to override unwanted sounds.
    

3. Players must wear a uniform, tucked in, socks pulled up.  Please wear sneakers and pack cleats in the event that we can get outside to tape footage.
    

4. A copy of your player profile (resume).  (Must be emailed to planetfastpitch2@charterinternet.com.) 
    

5. A preliminary list of schools in which you are interested.  (Must be emailed to planetfastpitch2@charterinternet.com.)  For assistance, please use our website to review conferences and various universities.

The cost for your college video service is $450.
